Summer Events!!

TEEN events !!

This year we're branching out with our teen programs!!

Not only will there be events in Picton, but for the first time EVER I'll be going out to Wellington and bringing some great programs for teens there, too.

We're doing:

Picton Branch

Saturday, June 25 at 12 noon

Teen Advisory Board Meeting : The TAB gives teens an opportunity to “have their say” about which events, books, and magazines the library should have! This special meeting is especially important as we will be “revamping” the way the TAB runs.

Friday, July 8 at 5:00 p.m

Anime Adventure: Love anime, manga or other Asian pastimes? Check out Anime Adventure to do some cool origami and watch an anime film.

Friday, July 22 at 5:00 p.m

Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants Party: Bring your best friends or come alone to meet some new friends— bring a pair of old jeans to decorate and a picture of your best friends.

Friday, August 12 at 5:00 p.m.

Teen Zine Scene: Ever wanted to make a magazine but didn’t know how to do it without a ton of cash? Find out how to make zines cheaply and easily. Bring your writing or artwork!

Friday, August 26 at 5:00 p.m.

Risk Tournament: Come out and show off your skills at taking over the world at this Risk tournament!

Wellington Branch

Thursday, July 14 at 5:00 p.m.

Halo 2 Tournament: Come play the sci-fi shooter that takes place on a mysterious alien ring-world. Compete against your friends in a fun tournament!

Thursday, July 28 5:00 p.m.

Mendhi Madness: Come learn about this Indian / Middle Eastern / African body art, watch a cool movie and have fun!

Saturday, August 20 7:30 p.m.

Haunted Library: King, Poe, Koontz, Stoker….

These masters of terror will be helping us creep out anyone who braves our Haunted Library! NOT for kids.
